Hello, and welcome to Rapha Neurology & Neurocritical Care.
My name is Taylor Claybrook, and I am the founder and provider behind Rapha Neurology.
Before I am a nurse practitioner, I am a follower of Jesus, a wife, and a mother of two. I was born and raised in Oklahoma, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the communities that shaped me into the person I am today.
Outside of the clinic, I'm happiest spending time with my family. You'll usually find us on our farm, enjoying a good cup of coffee, spending time at the lake, traveling, or finding our next adventure together. One of my greatest joys is watching our children discover their God-given gifts and cheering them on in academics and sports.
Those moments keep me grounded and serve as a constant reminder that behind every patient is a family who loves them deeply. That perspective shapes the way I care for every person who walks through our doors.
My years in neurology and neurocritical care shaped not only my clinical experience, but also my vision for what patient care should be.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of caring for patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, seizures, memory disorders, migraines, brain hemorrhages, and other complex neurological illnesses.
Neurology is unlike any other specialty because it doesn't just affect a diagnosis—it affects someone's ability to think, communicate, work, drive, remember, and enjoy life. It also profoundly affects spouses, children, parents, and caregivers.
Behind every MRI, diagnosis, and treatment plan is a person with hopes, fears, and people who love them.
That responsibility is something I never take lightly.
One of the greatest passions of my career is helping patients recover after hospitalization for neurological injuries and illnesses.
During my years in neurocritical care, I cared for patients during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. While many received exceptional care in the hospital, I noticed that the transition home was often where patients and families needed the most support.
Questions remained unanswered.
Recovery felt uncertain.
Families were overwhelmed.
I realized that healing doesn't end when someone leaves the hospital.
In many ways, that's where the journey truly begins.
Helping patients navigate that transition—understanding what to expect, preventing setbacks, optimizing recovery, and rebuilding confidence—has become one of the most meaningful parts of my career.
That passion continues to shape Rapha Neurology today.
As my career progressed, I became increasingly aware of something missing in healthcare.
Too often, appointments felt rushed.
Patients didn't always feel heard.
Access to specialty care could be frustrating.
Healthcare sometimes became more about systems than people.
I founded Rapha Neurology on the belief that neurological care should be accessible, individualized, and truly centered around each patient.
I wanted to create a practice where people have time to ask questions.
A place where they feel heard.
A place where treatment plans are tailored to their unique goals—not built around productivity quotas or corporate policies.
One of the principles that guides my practice is simple:
I strive to care for every patient the same way I would want my own family cared for.
If my spouse, child, parent, or grandparent were sitting in the exam room, I would want a provider who listened carefully, communicated honestly, explained options clearly, and genuinely cared about the outcome.
That is the standard I strive to bring to every patient encounter.
The name Rapha comes from Jehovah Rapha, meaning "The Lord Who Heals."
As a healthcare provider, I deeply value medicine, science, and evidence-based care. At the same time, I recognize that true healing ultimately comes from God, the Great Physician.
One of the greatest privileges of my life is caring for people during some of their most difficult seasons. I often say that I am simply the "boots on the ground"—an instrument God uses to serve others through the knowledge, skills, and opportunities He has graciously provided.
I could not do what I do without His continued blessing, wisdom, and guidance. Every patient encounter is a reminder of both the responsibility and privilege of caring for another person, and I strive to approach that responsibility with humility, compassion, and gratitude.
The name Rapha serves as a daily reminder that while I have the privilege of caring for patients, the Lord is the true Healer.
That truth shapes everything we strive to be as a practice. It reminds us to care for every patient with compassion, integrity, dignity, and respect while pursuing excellence in the medical care we provide.
Today, Rapha Neurology provides care for patients throughout Oklahoma with conditions including migraines, memory concerns, seizures, stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury, post-hospital neurological recovery, and many other neurological disorders.
Whether you're searching for answers to new symptoms, managing a chronic neurological condition, or recovering after a hospitalization, my hope is that you'll find more than excellent medical care at Rapha.
My hope is that you'll find someone who listens.
Someone who truly cares.
Someone who walks alongside you through your journey.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me and the heart behind Rapha Neurology.
It is truly an honor and a blessing to serve the people of Oklahoma, and I look forward to meeting you.
With gratitude,
Taylor Claybrook, AG-ACNP
